Is the universe actually just a great mind, or is it really matter throughout? Is matter mind or is mind matter? If it is mind and matter, what is the relation between the two? How can mind influence matter or matter influence mind? Have philosophers found a solution to the problem of the relationship between mind and matter?

Please join me in my exploration of ideas of the great philosophers throughout the ages in their unraveling of the mystery of the universe, and of mind & matter... For this month of January 1999, we will examine some of these ideas and the corresponding philosophers who have immense influence on our present knowledge.

We will examine other ideas and views next month. <

It is hoped that these ideas will help us see the universe and our own existence from a much different and broader point of view. It is up for us to determine if the question is answered or not? All of these and more in our quest for the meaning of life in the realm of reason.
